Peggy R. WilliamsPh.D. Harvard University M.Ed. University of Vermont B.A. St. Michael's College of the University of Toronto Peggy Williams assumed the presidency of Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, in 1997, and stepped down in 2008 after eleven successful years in the offce. She was the seventh president of the college and the first woman president. Prior to Ithaca, Peggy served as president of Lyndon State College for eight years. In addition, she held positions of Associate Academic Dean, Chair of the Business and Economic Department and Associate Professor at Trinity College. In the fall of 1990 she received recognition from Creating Excellence magazine, being named to the publishers' list of Vermont's "Top Ten Achievers."
